Re: Invitation to Quote Gravel (Crushed Aggregate) Specifications
TYPE: No.1 Lime Rock Class 5 Modified 10-15% binder.
QUANTITY: Approximately 6000 ton of Lime Rock applied to roads, additional tons as needed for spot work.
MEASUREMENT: Each load must be weighed by an approved weighing device and receipt delivered to job Superintendent. Approximately 4" depth on 5 to 6 miles of road.
Hampton Township may take material samples and may test randomly. Tests will include but not be limited to, sleve analysis of fine and coarse aggregates, analysis of clay and silts in fines, and magnesium sulfate soundness test (MNDOT) 1219. At the time of billing, Township reserves the right to retain up to 10% of contractor's claim pending test results. Materials supplied by contractor not meeting Township specifications, may result in Township not refunding retainer. Township reserves the right to reject any and all quotes, to waive irregularities and information therein and further reserves the right to award the contract, in part by project, in the best interest of the Township.
The Township Clerk will accept quotes at 23250 Main Street, Hampton, MN 55031 until 5:00pm, Monday, April 20, 2015. If submitting quote by mail, please sent to P.O. Box 154, Hampton, MN 55031. The quotes will be reviewed at the regular Township Board Meeting on Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at 7:30pm at the Township Hall located at 23250 Main Street in the City of Hampton.
The purpose of the meeting is to reorganize the deputies of the board members.

Hampton Township is offering all residents that live on a township gravel road to participate in a dust control program. This will be a cost sharing program and for a fee, you the resident may enroll to have one application of liquid Chloride applied to your section of the road in front of your residence. The chloride will be applied in the beginning of June. The cost will be shared 50/50 by both the resident, and the township at a cost of $60.00 per 100 feet. The township will pay half up to 400 feet. If you would like to request more than 400 feet, you will be responsible to pay the additional amount at 100%. Please note that Hampton Township reserves the right to maintain the road whenever needed to accommodate the traveling public.
Please submit your check to Hampton Township no later than May 1st, 2015 if you are interested in the program.
