Welcome to Hampton Township

Hampton Township is offering all residents that live on a township gravel road to participate in a dust control program. This will be a cost sharing program and for a fee, you the resident may enroll to have one application of liquid Chloride applied to your section of the road in front of your residence. The chloride will be applied in the beginning of June. The cost will be shared 50/50 by both you the resident and the township at a cost of $53.00 per 100 feet. The township will pay half up to 600 feet. If you would like to request more than 600 feet, you will be responsible to pay the additional amount at 100%. Please note that Hampton Township reserves the right to maintain the road whenever needed to accompany the traveling public.

Please submit your check to Hampton Township no later than May 31, 2013, if you are interested in the program.

Dakota County received a MPCA/Clean Water Legacy Grant for upgrading failing septic systems. Funds can be used county wide outside of shoreland areas. Requirements are:

• Must have a notice of noncompliance (failing compliance inspection report) to apply
• Income-Based

Click Here for the income-based requirement breakdown. Dakota County is grouped with Minneapolis/St. Paul/Bloomington. As an example, low income for a family of two is $52,000, so many people will qualify. This will be on a first come first serve bases. Grant funds have to be spent or returned by June 30, 2014.

For emergency situations, all Hampton Township residents are required to have a green emergency house number that can be clearly seen from the road. This is very helpful for the emergency personal in case of an emergency call at your residence. If you don't have a sign or need a replacement, please contact the Hampton Township Clerk at 651-437-4500 and one will be ordered for you. The cost to the resident is $20.00 per sign. The post is sold seperately. Signs must be paid for prior to the order being placed for one.
